This Privacy Policy describes how AppSceno (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our app store screenshot generation service at appsceno.com. By using AppSceno, you consent to the practices described herein.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register, we collect your email address and a cryptographically hashed version of your password (bcrypt). We never store plaintext passwords.
User Content
When you create projects, we store the following associated with your account:
- Screenshot image files you upload
- Project names and slide configurations
- Design settings — fonts, colors, background images, and device frame preferences
- Exported image files generated by our platform
Payment Information
AppSceno uses Razorpay as its payment processor. We do not collect, store, or process your card or banking details directly. All payment data is handled securely by Razorpay on their PCI DSS-compliant infrastructure.
We store only:
- Razorpay Order ID (to track pending transactions)
- Razorpay Payment ID (to confirm successful payments)
- Your subscription plan, billing cycle, and subscription period end date
- The email address associated with your subscription

Usage Data
We may automatically collect technical information including:
- IP address and general geographic location
- Browser type, version, and operating system
- Pages visited and features used (for product improvement)
- Date and time of access
Cookies
- Essential cookies: Authentication tokens as httpOnly cookies to maintain your session and protect against XSS attacks. Required for the Service to function.
- Analytics cookies: Anonymized usage analytics (Vercel Analytics). These contain no personally identifiable information.
We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
How We Use Your Information
- Create and manage your account
- Provide, operate, and improve the screenshot generator
- Process payments and manage your subscription via Razorpay
- Send transactional emails — account confirmation, password resets, payment receipts
- Respond to support requests and communications
- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud
- Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Razorpay Financial Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Licensed Payment Aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Neon Inc.
Serverless PostgreSQL database hosting for user accounts, projects, and subscription records. Data is encrypted at rest.
Vercel Inc.
Cloud hosting and deployment infrastructure for the AppSceno web application.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of AppSceno, our users, or the public.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you by email before any change in ownership affects your data.
Data Retention
Account data
Retained until you request account deletion.
User content
Retained until you delete the content or your account.
Payment records
Minimum 7 years from transaction date as required by Indian financial and tax regulations (IT Act 2000, PSS Act 2007, GST laws).
Usage logs
Up to 90 days for security and debugging.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/HTTPS
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest in our database
- bcrypt password hashing with a minimum work factor of 10
- httpOnly and Secure cookie flags for authentication tokens
- Access controls limiting who can access production systems
No method of Internet transmission is 100% secure. While we use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children's Privacy
AppSceno is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately at contact@appsceno.com and we will delete it promptly.
International Data Transfers
AppSceno is operated from India. Our infrastructure is hosted on Vercel (global CDN, primary data centers in the US and Europe) and Neon (United States). By using our Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations. We take steps to ensure all transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
Changes to This Policy
When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
- Notify registered users by email at least 7 days before changes take effect
Your continued use of AppSceno after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules thereunder. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
